Is there a difference between these apart from the price?

Are Motorbatt any good anyway or should I go for another brand?
-
They are identical and very good! I have one in my fazer, one in the diesel bike and had one in my varadero, and one in the girfriends Vespa...
-
Perhaps the cheaper set are part of a promotion they are running with limited stock? Only reason I can think of to justify it really
-
The motobatt part number for the fazer is MBT12B4, it seems like they go for around 49.99 on ebay, so the cheaper one is a deal ( if it is an mbt12b4)
-
Busters are a supplier like M&P Direct, so they should be grand to deal with. The have a website and the economy batteries for the Fazer 600 is in fact £49.99, so I'd grab it if you are interested.
They also do on their website the popular brand "Yuasa" and they have a battery for the Fazer reduced from £84.99 down to £60.99. This is a quality batter that will last a few years if you look after it.

Must be first time anybodies said busters are ok! Search here and there old site, you'll find plenty of people cursing them :lol

Cheers for the help, Foccers :)

I've used them recently and haven't had any issues... granted it was only for Oil and a Filter...
-
I think m&p and busters are the same company.
Don't know if that's always been the case
But I noticed last time I bought from busters eBay
PayPal showed payment to m&p
-
All owned by the same lot, they do have a habbit of going bust and catching fire, but I've never had any issues with them, their newly refurbished site in Swansea is good, Its called M&P, the old Busters site is now closed, They are also Kawasaki dealers, staff really helpful behind counter, good prices to.
-
Busters used to be on Swansea Enterprise Park whereas M & P are just outside Swansea @ Gorseinon.Definitely same company.Remember the cafe @ M&P a good spot tomeet before/after a ride-out-happy days!

You'd be spot on. M&P are Busters and I have been using M&P for well over 15 years on and off and never had a quibble. I think I may have had something arose that a product was not in stock, but they always contacted me which gave me the option to source the product elsewhere. The ebay feedback shows nearly 11,000 positive customers out of 11,100 in 12 months.
Amazing how some folks like our fellow forum member "RichFZS" will (intentionally or not) drag down a company's name without sharing any personal dealings or experience with them or without producing hard evidence like a link showing maybe like I did with 11,000 negative customers against me (the ONLY person on the planet who Rich thought that must find them good).
Then I'm not surprised really as he did it again a few days ago to another company....It seems some guys are just born to :uhuh
In that instance a representative of a company of a product (Activ8) responded to negative comments here about their product. He sent a forum member who bought their product a letter and told him to post it here if he wishes. The upshot on the letter was "if you buy our product and if it doesn't meet your expectations and think it fails to do what we claim it does, we will refund you with no quibble even if the product is after been used". That to me, is a company confident in their product and that it works accordingly but if you don't think so, we will gladly refund you with no hard feelings.
But this was interpreted by Rich as to the company saying "if you don't like it, lump it". Errrr......nope Rich!!..."like it or lump it" as I understand it means "you bought it, your fault. You are stuck with it and you are not getting your money back". The Activ8 man said what he said and it actually needs no interpretation at all. :rolleyes
I wish I could get that kind of "like it or lump it" policy with all the companies that I deal with!!

well somebody has an axe to grind :rolleyes

Packie, RichFZS may have expected you'd do your own search of the forums regarding Busters. If you do so you'll find plenty of moans about slow delivery, wrong items sent or sent to the wrong place... though it's all anecdotal of course, they may be no worse than any other supplier.
However, they really gave themselves a bad name when people on here (well, the Yuku version) started experiencing fraudulent activity on their credit cards after making purchases from Busters. Rather than apologising and making statements to the effect that they were cooperating with police etc. they chose to get their solicitors to write a gagging order to the admins on the grounds of defamation.

I understand were you are coming from, Fazerider. But we need to judge them on what they are doing now. All I was asking Rich was that when you slate a company and ridicule a fellow forum member (me) as well, just for giving a positive comment, that maybe he should check his facts out first and take a look at their performance now. The Original Poster will be buying from the company and from eBay now.
I had a cable company who were absolutley atrocious years ago and I left them. They are under new management now and I heard great reports last year about them. So instead of still holding onto my past grudges and bad mouth them today for their past failings, I actually tried them again and the only other cable supplier here (Sky) wouldn't come close to touching them. If I had been stuck in a time warp with my past memories, gripes and resentments, I wouldn't be availing myself of such a wonderful service today.
If Rich like to do that....fair enuff. But i'm well aware that things can change...people can change, companies can change. And the information is there to see if they have. And the facts are that Busters have changed which is why there is no comeback from Rich and he has ran off with his one-liners between his legs.. Thats one of the strong points with eBay and it's feedback. As a company who wants genuine business, you won't last kissing time if you don't perform or scam people.
Thanks Fazerider.

I'd agree there's no point in avoiding a company that's treated you crappily in the past if they are clearly offering a better deal than you can get elsewhere... and this particular battery looks like a bargain. But a bit of lingering resentment being the deciding factor when there isn't much to chose between them and another provider is no bad thing in my view. Companies should be aware that if they treat their customers with contempt they'll suffer the consequences for years.
