Right, to the best of my knowledge the plan is shaping up roughly in this fashion;
Some people will be meeting at Blackheath again before continuing on to the Oakdene Cafe where everyone else will meet and catch up. After that, its onwards to Dungeness lead by some helpful foccer (steeeve66 (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=408)) who knows the way ;)
TL;DR
When?
Sunday 3rd March 2013
Where?
Blackheath Tea Hut - SE3 0UA - 10.00-10.30
Oakdene Cafe - TN15 7RR - 11.00-11.30
Dungeness - TN29 9NA (ish) - 14.00-15.00
Route
Google Maps (http://goo.gl/maps/qYzgz)
Who?
Any foccer who wants to
-
Have fun n stay safe... See you in April.
-
I this for london or kent?

its for anyone who wants to come. :thumbup

Basically what Exupnut said - doesn't matter where you are from, all are welcome :) If you feel like just meeting your fellow foccers then you can catch us at the Oakdene and riding on to Dungeness is entirely if you are up for it. Obviously the more the merrier :D
-
Ah fair enough, just a fair bit out of london for a london meet.
My other halfs parents are down that way so could make a trip of it. Im a maybe at the moment.

Any ride out will end up a fair bit out of London surely? This is only the second so there'll be one nearer soon enough? Just a thought; we could go 'clockwise'? The first was Southend, then Dungeness, then maybe Brighton, New Forrest, somewhere West, say Oxford? Etc? Just a thought.
I've a route worked out for Dungeness, will post it here shortly for all to look at.

True, and I have not taken into account the first meet. I will probably be at oakdene with my other half as pillion, can make a day trip out if it :)

So, with a little over a week to go, any idea on times, etc?
I presume there's a group starting at Blackheath. DeadEye, where are you joining us?
Also, who else is joining where (as it were)?

If I keep up with the unrestricted thou's like last time, it'll be double that for me (easily). Last rideout drained my tank, and that was a tiddler by comparison!! I blame it on the fact that you have to stay in 4th to get any kind of grunt out of the engine. Bloody 33hp...
-
Good route!
Remember to give it the beans on the way out of Headcorn to take advantage of the hump backed bridge and glad a bit of the Military Road's in, quality!

Yeah, times is something we should discuss. Its approx. a 2 hour journey there and obviously most of us will need to get home as well. So I would suggest we leave no later than between 12.00 and 13.00 from Oakdene so that its mostly light on the way back towards London - but this depends on how long we hang around Lydd / Dungeness :)
I would suggest something like 10:30-11:00 at Blackheath then move on to Oakdene. This should give us a bit of flexibility in people arriving and wanting to do a bit of chin wagging ;) Google is suggesting its about a half hour from Blackheath to Oakdene so that should put us arriving between 11.30 and 12.00 which seems good without getting some of the students up too early, eh Christo? :P
(See first post (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,6276.msg57309.html#msg57309) for amended times)
How does this sound?

So far this seems to be the general consensus and I'm fine with that as well. I'll put some preliminary times on the first post (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,6276.msg57309.html#msg57309) of this thread but we can go over things and confirm this Friday on the Chat I imagine :)
-
Yep, times look better!

Earlier the better for me also

Haha! Never mind, it'll be good seeing you again. I'm also curious to see what mad mods you've made this time! Did you get a new "for sale" sign for the exhaust? :rollin
Hopefully, I'll have my bike fixed. If I can't be certain of my rear lights, I might have to do a no-show. Fingers crossed!
-
Annoyed to miss this again, timing not on my side atm. Am determined to make the April meet (probs at Blackheath), and it's gone in my diary. Have a good ride chaps
-
Well, we shall all look forward to seeing you then Fuzzy :) I think mr red98 has a plan for us to go North-West-ish in April :)
-
Okay, I'm in West London so that'd do me fine. Looking forward to it :)
-
Missed the pow wow on the chat earlier (helping a mate with luggage racks), so I presume the times are as in the 1st post?
-
Yup, see you all at Oakdene between 11 and 11:30am
-
Yup, I think we are going with times as mentioned in the first post. I'll be online properly tomorrow evening - work went a bit crazy today so I wasn't able to get on properly
Would be nice to get a rough headcount of who will be joining us so that we don't accidentally leave anyone behind at our two initial rendezvous so post up people if you haven't already :)
-
Well, I'll be at Blackheath.
I saw EndaF yesterday, he said he didn't think he could make it due to coursework commitments.
Also, I think Bozboz is planning to meet us en route between Blackheath and Oakdene; he's asked me to send him a text as we leave.
-
I'll be at Oakdene
-
Would have done this one but bike is off the road while I wait for a part :\
-
I'm tempted to dig the old bike out of the back of the garage tomorrow morning and blow a few cobwebs.
May pop in to the Oakdene to say hello and see what all the new boys look like :lol
Wont come on the ride as I won't have time but maybe next time!
-
Despite my apprehension of posting a mobile phone number online; if anyone needs to contact me tomorrow about being late to any of the rendezvous let me know on [removed by author] so that we can wait for you and not bugger off without you :P
In fact, for those that see this, a quick text to say where you will be meeting us and at what time would be fantastic :) Typical how I didn't really think of this until now...
-
have a great day foccers...wont miss the ride at all....no ,not me, plenty to do,not jealous one bit.much better to go out in the cage and get stuck in the traffic......oh yes, very happy leaving my silver bullet in the garage and experience the full power of a 1.4 golf instead.....oh yes, living life in the fast lane today.....oh..did i mention that iam not jealous one bit,no,not one bit :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
roll on april :lol
