Right on Sunday 24th Feb. a meet up at the cafe in the link at 10 am so as if the weather is good we can go on to the coast if not just a meet.
(Edited to add picture and to link to calendar)

What coast ? which way? :rolleyes
-
Ok first point the get together is the main point.
Hunstanton is the best ride I have a route that is quite scenic and twisty, 80.1 miles and Google puts it at 2 hr 15 min
Skegness is nearer at 68.8 miles with a worth while tweak Google put it at 1 hr 51 mins.
Not sure who will be coming, and where from so there is time for those interested to state what they would prefer, if people wish to make it here from across the country then that is a trip in its self and those of us who are local can take our turn at hosting.
If the weather is poor then that to would stop a trip further. I m away for the next week so by time I get back this will either have died or have a con-sensors of a plan.
-
I might come depending on the weather, any of the Hull lot wanna join me for the ride down?
Oh and I'd prefer Skeggy but will go with the majority.
-
Is this one on ? I might be able to ear mark it if i know its a deffo ???
-
Weather permitting I will be there
-
bugger we are away at a show which is a shame, if you are doing them on a regualr basis, might be worth making http://www.mablethorpe-motorcycle-festival.info/ (http://www.mablethorpe-motorcycle-festival.info/) a meet up point for a future one, and seeing if other foccers from other areas might join up
-
Might be able to make this, be good to meet some of you guys and all that :)
-
I think the best thing to aim for for this get together is to limit the get together to Melton Mowbray as it appears the cold weather is heading back, I will keep an eye on the weather forcasts as the week goes on, and looking forward to meeting up.
-
Just to bring this into peoples minds again, the weather is looking cold over the next few days with possible snow, but Sunday is forecast at the moment as warmer. Any feed back welcomed.
-
I'm still planning on being there :-). Heated grips now fitted :-)
-
I have a 3yr old who is up at 6:30 every morning so I'll probably be there early (if I make it at all whilst alternating between confident and petrified) if anyone wants to chew the cud :-P
-
I am going to head over for a cuppa and poss meet up but dont really fancy a freezing trip to skeg
-
If the weather looks poor can we keep it local so people can head back if they feel like it ?
Would that be better bigsteve ?
Other routes could be discussed too ?
Simon

yer sounds good to me Simon I am just going to see what weather
-
I like the local bit it is sounding cold, as early mentioned 10am as the meet time ok with everyone.
-
Rutland water is always another good option :-)
-
Chris, I cant make this one but will keep an eye out if you do this again, dont mind a run to SkegVegas for some chips :)

Rutland water is always another good option :-)
We can see how people are feeling after a cup of tea and a chat.

Hi,
Me and my brother will be there!
Sorry for late confirmation, somehow only just found this.

08:14 a.m. and its snowing where i am. Might have to give this one a miss today but would defo be up for regular meet ups at the same location as the seasons weather improves. Sorry folks but too much bike sympathy to venture out in the snow :\
-
Morning!
Others still on?
Andy
-
Hell yah. It's trying to snow here but I'm not going to let that spoil a jaunt out. I'm gonna get a MacD and be there for half nine hopefully.
Cu there peeps.
-
OK cool, we have three on the way but it's an hour to Melton Mowbury so bear with us if we are more 10AM than 9:30.

Loving the live updates! :)
That's what boredom and 3g do to you :)
-
Thanks to everyone who came :-). I had a nice 56 mile jaunt afterwards via Syston, Bradgate park, M1 Fosse park, Hein Gericke and then A6 back to Harborough.
It was good to meet you all. Thank you.
-
Hello Folks,
Thanks very much for putting this little meet together.
I'm glad I came and was really nice to meet you all.
Chris and Steve asked me to pass along the same.
Looking forward to next time - with a bit of luck we'll soon be able to sort a ride in the sunshine :)

How about a quick report in the Front Page?
-
It was a good meet up and I am sure we will manage to reach the coast on a ride out when it is warmer. There is a saying '' no photo no event'' so heres a photo.
-
You guys are hardcore. The freezing temperatures today kind of take the 'pleasure' out of 'pleasure ride' for me. I know the location though and it would be nice to make this a regular meet as the weather improves as i think quite a few of us are midlands based ???
A run out to the coast would be super duper too as there are some nice routes out around Melton towards the coast.
-
i would have liked to come and met you all today but unfortunately i had to work, hopefully you will do the run to the coast when i am off work!
-
Nice too meet you all and hope it comes a regular meet
I think it was colder riding back to Notts than it was going to Melton
Look forward to warmer next meet :lol

Fair play for going. Shows great enthusiasm. Must set one up for when its a bit milder , so its enjoyable!...there are some great roads round Rutland.I often ride up from Rugby, do the loop up to MM from Uppingham( where there is agood tea and sarnies van at the bike shop), then back down to M Harborough. A great run....would be up for a run to skeggy too. Been yrs since I last did that.
-
Oh foooook forgot all about it. :o
-
Damn, only just seen this post ! Oh well, next time :'(
-
I'm always up for a jaunt out. If anyone fancies a trip out pm me (or arrange a short notice event). I'm around in the mornings and weekends.
