Title: Tool kit
Post by: Wallen on 03 February 2013, 04:50:29 pm
Hello everyone,
My fazer has not got a toolkit under the seat, can anyone tell me what the kit contains and wether its worth buying an official one , if so where to get it from, or just carrying the usual tools?
Cheers, Will

This is what mine has, thinking I may be missing screwdriver handle tho.

To my mind i think it's nice to have the original - but i wouldn't pay £70 odd just to have it!

I think you may find that the screw driver handle is in fact the item second from right, next to the ring spanner. I could of course be completely wrong!

And indeed you are ;) There should be a plastic thing that looks, well, a lot like a screwdriver handle :lol

Oh well, must be my Kawasaki tool kit that doubles up the handle with something else.

I'm going to put the handle from my old suzuki kit in there now I've realised it's missing. Sods law states that if I don't then I'll need the blooming thing!

Cheers for the help people! That's crazy £70! Knowing that now ill just carry what I have from the picture! Being away at university and only having my fazer since New Year this weekend is the first chance I've had to work on the bike, so spending my Saturday changing the oil & filter which I'm actually looking forward to doing as sad as it sounds !!

Make sure you get the right colour for your bike  ;)
The poppers that fasten the pouch are colour coded...Or that may just be mine and all poppers are yellow!

Hmm, pretty sure my popper is black and my bike is blue...

That fazer spares place is great! Never knew about it till now, decent prices for stuff to.

As for the toolkit, usefull additions are cable ties (various sizes) and a couple of pairs of surgical gloves  ;)

That is a GREAT looking toolkint: compact, practical, with all the right bits. I put a DIY toolkit from regular tools and 27mm is a very big spanner.
