Title: FZ wheels on a FZS600
Post by: sb76uk on 01 February 2013, 08:18:46 am
Hello FOCCERS

Any one have any experience regarding if FZ6 wheels will easily transplant to a FZS600? If so, is there much hassle doing it?

Not really an option if you want it as a road bike

I *think* the FZ6 speedo runs off the front sprocket as opposed to the FZS600's setup which runs via a cable off the front wheel.

So you won't have the the speedo drive mechanism if you fit an FZ6 front wheel. You could then possibly go for an aftermarket speedo setup, which might make the TPS on the carbs start doing weird things.

Rear would probably transplant much easier.

Why change 'em - is it just to fit a wider tyre such as a 120/70 front or cosmetic preference?

Its more of a cosmetic thing, the FZ6 look more up-to-date in my opinion. May have to consider another way of making them look a better than standard.

I did increase the width, try to find the threads I started about a year ago. If you can't I'll explain later.
