Title: Clutch lever catching Pass/flash switch
Post by: FuZzBoM on 29 January 2013, 01:45:11 pm
Hi all, I have just noticed my clutch lever is slightly catching my pass flash switch when you pull it in. not enough to make me flash while changing gear but it is visibly rubbing a flat edge to the switch.
The bike was purchased with a set of renthal bars but in truth I cannot see how the standard bars would make any difference to the lever position.
Does anyone else suffer this problem?

I am wondering if it possibly has a pattern lever or something not being exactly the right shape. It is however tempting me with getting some CNC levers to see if his improves it at all.  :lol

Any suggestions welcomed. thanks

I had same problem, simply undid screws in switch housing and rotated it slightly, found a more comfortable position then for operating the indicators. You might find rotating the clutch lever down will achieve the same and a bonus of having a more natural position for using clutch.
I too have renthals and aftermarket levers.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the reply. I am fairly sure it has the original levers and I have it adjusted the way I like it.
My thinking was that if i got a set of say http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130841388293?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130841388293?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) those would the curve round the top allow it to clear the switch gear?

My levers pretty much same as those, still had to rotate the switch towards rider and lever away from rider, I do have my renthals more towards me than the standard upright position so maybe that may be the difference?  :)

They arrived today. quality looks to be good, fitted without any issues and seem to work great.
Well worth the £23 i paid. at worst they are a cheap set of spares.

I went for the black lever with the blue adjusters and they look great on a blue fazer.
Don't resist buy them today  :D
