Title: Wanted: FZS 600
Post by: Dead Eye on 15 January 2013, 07:06:58 pm
I miss my Fazer so much (see my pain (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,5294.0.html)) that it just has to be replaced before I go insane and as far as I'm concerned, its a Fazer or nothing ;) My bank balance is however arguing with me, so I'm on a relatively tight budget but that's not going to stop me trying to pick up a bargain.

Realistically I'm looking at sub £1,000 and more around the £800 and lower. I've seen one or two which I'm investigating, but figured it couldn't hurt to plead with the Fazer community here :P I'm not overly concerned with it being in pristine condition as long as its been looked after and isn't a complete dog. MOT and Tax I can deal with having to fork out for, but I would prefer tyres to be in good condition. I've had a quick browse through some of the ones being sold here, but most are out of my price range or just too far away :(

Maybe someone out there can help me get back on two wheels, and I promise not to burn this one  :lol

this is the right time of year to buy any bike as you will get at better price but still hold on for the right one,if you buy from an auction like ebay etc make sure you go and view before you bid/buy
im thinking of selling my 600 but was going to wait till late summer to get this year out of and get good price and then buy another bike in the depths of winter but dont realy want to sell fazer as such a good bike but not enough space/money to keep them all!

Yeah, I know that even £800 is optimistic but this is definitely the time of year to shop around. I may have more money in summer but I will then have to fork out more money for a bike of potentially similar condition.

there is nothing wrong with ebay as such but i would def sugest you go view any bike your interested in and take cash and if you like what you see make an offer for amount your happy with or go home and bid,i would never bid/buy a bike or car without seeing in flesh 1st!
iv sold a few cars on ebay and most have simply come and viewed and made offer but iv sold to bidders who havnt even looked and asked questions and pay realy good money and i could have sold any old crap(which they wasnt!)

Thanks all, I'm actually already watching both of those eBay items plus some others. Went to see a potential option today which could be promising :-)
