What slot is the clip supposed to be in? I know someone told me slot 3 out of 5 but is that from the top or the bottom of the needle?
-
Well if there are 5 slots and it should in slot 3, I guess that would make it the centre one :rollin
-
Lol, I left a lot out of that, was ment to say I'm adjusting the needles because I'm lacking on quarter throttle, so was going to adjust the needles, they are already on 3 so should I just move the clip down 1 setting?
-
Moving the clip down will raise the needle and give the bike a richer mixture.
But if this is still that set of carbs that looked as if they'd spent a year in the sea, I'd give up on them and find a newer set from a breakers. If a passageway is blocked or a jet has widened through corrosion or an adjuster has seized, moving the needles about isn't likely to correct things.

Dump them a buy a second hand set
-
I think that's my only option now, had a good look, they are just abit beyond repair now, idle screws ain't movin,
Carb hunt is now on.... :'(
