Hi all hope you all had a good christmas and the new year is shaping up the way you want. Right then, I am currently
taking the original white stickers off the bike ( yamaha on front of fairing ,Fazer on side of fairing etc ) but the yamaha
on the tank seems to be either lacquered on or summat any advice on how to remove them - nothing too radical i.e. blow torch or grinder please :lol ,cheers Steve

That's part of the paintwork isn't it, not stickers?
Only way you'll get rid of that is a sand down, then respray and lacquer.

My lad works in a bodyshop & did mine, Hes of the opinion that they are decals lacquered over from factory after paint. when he did mine he had to take the tank back to primer in this area respray,re-sticker & lacquer finish . Hope this
helps (Only did mine to blow in with the fairing lowers & change the decals to gold to match the wheels)

Hmmm as I thought, not straight-forward, but we shall percy veer, looks like sanding down and repainting then, why I bother starting these things I dunno cheers for the replies,Steve

Having recrntly resprayed my tank i can confirm theu are laquered over stickers. Sanding and respray is the eaiest thing to do.

why remove the stickers? it'll just look live you've crashed the bike, resprayed it and not bothered to put new stickers on

I am replacing the stickers Dudeness, with gold ones rather than the white ones, does anyone know how much it would cost to have the tank repainted metallic blue?
-
Metallic blue and gold? :eek
# "Let's start the caberet...." # :lol
