not a legal eagle so if any of the following information is incorrect that is thru my ignnorance!

as I understand it, if you trip over a hole on the pavement then the local council (or whoever) is legally responsible & you can sue them for any injury caused... if someone else (not contracted by council) fills in the hole then they become liable.. so if you tripped over one of these miniature gardens and injure yourself you can sue them... so should he have some kinda public indemnaty?

same as if you remove snow / ice from the pavement from outside of your property you become liable to then keep it clear, however if you leave it and someone has an accident then its not your fault?

or am I just over thinking this , have too much time on my hands & need to get laid?  :lol

I believe that the council only become responsible if they have been informed of the pot hole/curb stone etc.
Thats why if you see a large one in the road tell them and then its there problem.
