Did somthing similar exept didnt have any of that ... battery went flat ... got it charged ...put it back in .... attached the earth ...went to attach the live n it sparked arr... nothing worked atall :eek
changed a fuse or 2 n it works fine now .
Anything possible i guess :)

prob the main 30 amp fuse, find out were it is change it and hopefully all should be ok as thats what is there for to blow to protect everything when elec probs or mistakes arrise

That doesn't sound good... I think if the main or fuel injection circuit fuses are blown the fuel pump wouldn't run.
Unless you have knocked the killswitch off that leaves the ECU as a likely candidate. I don't know the FZ6, but get the feeling that the immobiliser and ECU are a single unit... if that's the case, swapping in another to check the ECU isn't going to be a simple job.
Once you do get it running again, check the regulator survived... if that was in circuit when you offered the battery 24V it might well have got cooked too.

Don't have a FZ6 but following my logic (not always the best thing to do :D )
I would have thought if the bike lets you get to a point that it letting you at least try to start it, then the immobilizer/ECU is working okay (otherwise the bike wouldn't let you try to start it at all, not even spinning the motor over)
I'd go checking all the fuses and see if you're getting a spark, would be good starting points

With the clocks off, it's difficult to tell (it provides diagnostic information).
Check your Radiator fan / back-up / fuel injection fuses, as well as your main 30A.
Have you tried fitting / using a new battery?

thanks all
seems either the main switch or kill switch may have a fault
it eventually started but i need a new battery to check it further
anyone know who can change the mileometer 4 me as i had to buy new(used) clocks
