Is there any one out there who does metal polishing to earn a few quid? And possibly know or can suggest what polishes up well on the FZS 600? :D
-
iv done loads polishing on my own bikes/cars over the years alloy comes up the best but depends on condition of the part before you start the polish work! why polish steel?it will only rust with no paint on it!
the best way is to buy your own polising kit and do yourself,a ceap kit will cost you less than 1 hours labour of someone doing the job for you

Im gonna experiment with some brasso on my footrest hangers,
Worst that can happen is they'll look crap and i'll get them powder coated
They look crap anyway
-
brasso will work but take forever if there scratched or craped up! anything that is abrasive will work but depends on the condition its in to start with iv used, toothpaste, brasso,t cut etc etc but a polishing wheel and compound does things 100 times quicker!

Sounds like a job for a dremmel multi tool
Ive always wanted one o them
Its a pity that those 2 belters kim & aggy didnt do a how clean is your bike programme coz no doubt theyd have some coca cola, lemon juice and bicarb combo that wud do the trick nicely.

a cheapo drill and polish wheels much cheaper than a dremmel

Autosol is great stuff, polishes up parts well and keeps it that way for quite a while too
