I dropped it, thankfully no damage.
Thought I would share it.

Isn't it you that wants to learn wheelies? :lol
-
hahahaha, when you put it like that no :P
But yeah I do :)
-
Nightmare!
At least you had crash bars
Bet you wish you didnt pull that front brake :(
-
I certainly do. The bike going into neutral rather than first had a little part in me dropping it.

Full tank of fuel and tank bag wont have helped either, did you get your leg out in time or did you squish it?
-
Watched it again, looks like you did :)
-
I got it out in time.
Thats what she said :P
I have a full tank of fuel and a rear sprocket in the tank bag.
-
Unlucky buddy. We've all done it and looks like you got away with it. At least you're not too proud to share.
Were you going down from second to first (but got neutral) or up from first to second (and got neutral)?
I like the audio - and the profanity. I was riding round wales over the weekend and having misjudged a corned found myself shouting Araf! Araf! lol

Got knock off my scooter a few years ago and the guy rode off. I now wear that camera everywhere I go and even recently caught me crashing on it at 60mph.
I have a nice little collection of videos on my YouTube channel.

No offense, but thats seriously bad riding. Your the first person i know to drop it in a situation like that...Could of easilly been avoided with your left leg.

Take a look at my previous post, I said shit happens you live and you learn. I can find a whole bunch of people who drop there bike turning corners.

depends how long your legs are or how slippery the ground is or if the road dips down or you put your foot in a pot hole or in a drain or on gravel or a million other things. have you never made a mistake on a bike?
-
Nah, he is a riding god - who obviously hasn't fully come to terms with what karma is... hope he doesn't find out anytime soon!

As i always say......as long as its only your pride thats hurt then who cares ;) bikes can be replaced,we cant bud :) guess the 60mph crash was were the fairing went awol then? :lol

Indeed it was. Getting it back today from being resprayed and fixed.

Doh! Bad luck mate. Dropped mine the other week in almost as daft a fashion. Although it was wet and some tosser was about to pull out on me... Live and learn.
Looks like them crash bars did their job anyway. At least you've got no faring to scuff/crack.

Wow. I wish I could never make mistakes. :lol
I've done almost exactly the same. Turning left at a junction, managed to stall it as I set off so started to overbalance, stuck my leg out only to discover it was a couple of inches too short thanks to the road being excessively cambered and over we went.
-
Top swearing :thumbup I once dropped it doing a u-turn on a hill, stalled it half way round and my leg didn't reach the floor so over we went. A passing chap helped me pick it up and went on his way before I could thank him, which was very nice, but it left me with a bike with its seat at the level of my chest and on the wrong side of the stands :lol
-
Unlucky mate, still shit happens least your ankle wasn't crushed! I once forgot my sidestand on the strand, got off the bike to hear crash and was left red faced(under my scarf) to a few onlookers :o -thankfully it was just a cb500 rat bike!
A little off topic but what make/model is that helmet cam? ...I'm seriously tempted by one before I go back to despatching.
Cheers, BozBoz :)

get yourself on a bike safe course. the main problem as i see it is that you actually steered. if youre confident then you will pull away and lean into the bend. handlebar input will be significantly less. BTW i've learnt from bitter experience, so i know how easy it is to make mistakes.

i've had two offs, happens to the best of us, but dropping it on a corner like that to me is something you'd expect from a learner on their CBT.
Remember to plan ahead before a maneuver and you shouldnt have problems.
-
I had to watch it several times I thought it was a set up, even my gf who does not ride a bike said that's not real !

Probably not ! But you got to admit the f-ing and jeffing make it all look comical, and the way you dropped it look suspicious ! I thought it was a stunt bike crash bars lack of panels !!

I’m glad I not the only one who thought it looked a bit sus - Just convinced my self I was just being an old cynic!

You should always make sure to be in the gear before turning (leaning) the bike. However, it happens to me to not do it in time, or do it in the middle of a corner. Not wise, I know it's wrong and sooner or later such falls happen with that kind of practice, but we all make mistakes. You paid for your experience cheaply, hope you won't doo something like that again. Nice video. :)
-
Hope you and your bike were ok mate? I had a bad off at 0 mph with the bike falling on my right leg badly breaking it and that i admit was completely my own cock up due to being in 2nd gear instead of first and stalling the fookin thing!....By the way, where's your leathers??? Come off at any speed and say hello to you own bones as they come through your skin and jeans!... Ride safe my friend.
-
I don't wear leathers unless I am in the bedroom. :lol
Kevlar jeans my friend.
-
Too much information me thinks........do you fall out of bed often? :lol
-
Brings a whole new meaning to "Protective RIDING Gear!" :lol
-
I almost came off the other day, heavy(ish) braking in a straight line and either the front locked up or tyre broke away but whatever happened i got a mini tank slapper on the go, instinctively or uncontrollably put my foot down to stabilise and ive parted the sole of my boot from the toe, im sure it'll glue back on!
I wasnt going terribly fast at that point but the boots defo saved me some broken toes at least.
-
Glad to hear you have at least got kevlar jeans mate. Leather in the bedroom eh?......Mmmmm difrent thinks i......Might try that...lol :lol

Ayup fella, I just noticed you saying I don't like that ! Before the bike went down, I also notice the rd surface has pot holes ! Maybe sent you off balance ! Get a claim into your local council for any damage.
-
@cable tie, the only proof he has is that video, and anyone who watches that video can see that it was basically rider error, there is no claim to be had?
-
No, claim, claim, its a win win situation! Except for the rest of the country, who has to pay increased insurance premiums (or council tax, in this case) as a result of foccing ridiculous claims, like this one would be. Stupid suggestion, claiming for that accident, focs sake :grumble

I said I don't like because I had the rear wheel off and forgot to pump the rear brake.

Worth putting a claim in???
