Riding on Sunday i have a reason to report a car for dangerous driving.
Who do i contact, the constabulary in which the incident happened or my local police or 101 or is there another way.
Many thanks
Nick

to be honest, its your word against his. and if the cops dont like bikers, they will take the car drivers view. i'd suggest leaving this one and get a helmet cam.

mmmm i hate the voice of reason.

Not if other people have reported it already.

true but what he did to me there was no one around. they would have to report there own incident.

To be honest, I don't think you'd get very far. Even if you film it and report it, the chances of anything being done are pencil slim because there isn't the resources (manpower) to deal with it anyway (unless s/he actually has / causes an accident).

Just have a moan about it on here.
Works for me. :lol

Your local force, sorry Police Service, would be a logical starting place. However, unless you have independant witnesses or the incident was caught on camera, then you might as well forget it.

I agree...a couple of yrs back a van smashed into my transit mirror while he overtook stationary traffic on other side of road, totally his fault ...I had a witness too...guess what police said ?
yup...claim on insurance...they aint interested !!
they R tnucs...

If it was in the Met Police area then you can report it here (http://www.met.police.uk/roadsafelondon/)....
-
surely it depends on the seriousness of the incident that took place? better to report it at the time though!
once had a bloke get out of his car & threaten me with a shotgun ( on a public road) so I went straight to the feds and reported it.
but anything less than that dont think they would've been bothered!
-
C'mon then I'll ask What did he/she do !!!!! ;)
-
It sounds silly but it happened so quickly he was doing about a ton.
National speed limit road, he overtook on double white lines in a dip with a blind summit about 50 meters away with a right turn which i fortunately wasn't turning into.
Funny thing was i caught up with him about 5 miles later i was doing the speed limit and no more, as he was about to overtake 2 cars in one go with oncoming traffic who flashed him. He then got caught at some red lights so i informed him the error of his ways, which fell on deaf ears of course.
I haven't actually done anything about it.

you report it to your local dibble who just might have a record of similar antics re: his driving and might just start checking him over on a more regular basis.

I have a Drift HD helmet cam, film ever ride I ever do. If anything happens on there that is serious I go straight to the police.

if i did that i'd have to do some serious editing!

Complain to the DVLA that someone has parked a vehicle illegally on your land, then you pay your £2.50 and get the registered keeper's address and you can pop round and 'complain' in person :evil
