this is bit more complex but i do a spacer and custom disc kit for this now if ya intrested
in all it updates the look gives you a 190 rear and as yet i havent found any issues with handling etc

Will the standard front calipers fit OK with the R6 discs?

Looks good Luke, but my personal pref wold have been to leave it black.
A quick question likes. How much does it cost to have wheels powder coated, and how much for the side silver work, like the footpeg assembly stuff above the footpegs. Sorry for shite description, but I can't remember it's correct name.
cheers
mick

i used reality motorcycle works 130 the pair in metallic silver std colors are cheaper ie black
the footrest heal plates i think your on about are std i removed them and polished the heal plate area then masked it off and sprayed the complete footrest satin black so when you remove the masking tape you get the effect i have easy to up keep with a little autsol now and then

Is that fully Re-assembled ie bearings and tyres refitted !
-
no, the question was how much to powder coat the wheels
bearings were extra and tyres were fitted to co inside with old un's being worn out
there is a weight saving but not much, you have a wider rear end, and as yet i havent noticed any advantage or disadvantage in handling
so why do it - well because i was told you cant do it and because i feel (my opinion) it updates the bike
and is a stepping stone to the next phase over the winter

no, the question was how much to powder coat the wheels
I was just picking ya brains as to cost! i thought £130 was alittle steep if only powder coated i have all my wheels and many other things done by a company in BURTON UPON TRENT there a wheel powder coat specialists, any colour even chrome powder coat as per your centre stand £30 a wheel £60 for a pair they will also remove your tyres, im having my original wheels done in gold (these are spare wheels i have pvm wheels fitted with 6" already) at the mo and my rocker cover as well.

Looks great. Is there any functional advantage to this mod or is it just the obvious aesthetics?
Also I lurve the look of those calipers. Wot are they? Any good? Easy to fit?
How many questions in one post?

the 2001 r6 is the 5eb and this had 3 spoke wheels - i know because my previous bike was a 5eb. 120/180 sizes, i'm fairly sure the same wheels as the 5lv in fact.
luke - you can't come round to my house and give me cash.
