Is it possible to adjust the clutch bit point? I recently checked and adjusted the cable slack and it's moved the bite point further away from the bar and I find I don't have as good a control on it at that reach.
It seems odd that there is a few cm of travel on the lever, but all the action happens in the 1st one.
I don't know if this is a sign that the clutch is starting to wear thin, or if there is something that can be done to help. I have wondered about adjustable levers, to move the lever nearer my hand, but I don't know if this is a proper fix, and was hoping there was a cheaper(free ;) ) option anyway.

Try adjusting it at the bottom end. Pop the plastic bung out of the sprocket cover and there's a screw/locknut arrangement in there. If you slacken it off a bit there that should move the bite point so the lever is closer to the bar without making the lever sloppy because the return spring isn't under tension (which, I guess, is probably why you adjusted the cable slack).

ADJUST THE BOTTOM ADJUSTMENT TOO MUCH AND YOU WILL GET NO DRIVE AT ALL.

i presume the problem is that the clutch is biting too late so you have to release the lever further than you want to? if it is then slacken the adjuster off a bit and then put it in gear and let out the lever and see where it bites. if it bites too soon then tighten the adjuster, if its still too late slacken it. but the point is you'll need the engine running and the bike in gear to adjust it to the right spot. oh yeah obviously you have to put it back into neutral when you're adjusting the cable. and don't slacken it loads or you might not be able to disengage the engine with the lever :lol

hi guys , which way would i need to turn it too get the bit point further away from the bars ?, as i like just too pull it in abit ie lets say 2-3 inch,s without having a sloppy leaver ?

so you want it to bite later with the lever out further? if so screw the adjuster out (ie tighten the cable)
