Title: Rear Shocker
Post by: Andy FZS on 09 September 2012, 05:46:34 pm
I've been getting some slightly unnerving weaving from the rear of the bike once I get over about 60mph, I thought it could have been wheel badly balanced perhaps but I then noticed the preload on the rear shock was at about half way so I wound it fully up and things have improved. Is this normal? is there any thing to check over the winter or a mod / new shock? :\

Cheers Andy :)

have you checked your tyre pressures  ;)

I check tyre pressure at the same time and yes the rear was down about 4psi and the front down 2psi so the extra air will not have done any harm.
I plan to strip and grease the rear suspension linkages at the end of the year so I check then for any wear.
Cheers Andy :)

Took the wife for a walk to the pub today :) BUT yesterday I took my youngest (13) up on the moors for an icecream and a bag of chips on the way home. Set of about 9am got back 3pm, so good day out. Long may the weather continue :D
