My bike has done 6000 miles, this might even be the original.

However.. (ready to open can of worms) if it was me i would go with the pipercross.

Before i get any arguments i do have a reason  :D i had a k&n in my car and every few weeks i would get an engine light and emissions fault. cleared it and it came back. MOT was done and it passed so i knew the cat was OK. took out the mass air flow sensor and there was a visible sheen to it. i guessed it was the oil from the k&n, cleaned with isopropyl alcohol fitted a pipercross and fault has never come back.. a mate with am impreza had the same problem. the tuning company he used for some work advised they have seen this a few times and to use the foam style filters and not metal gauze ones... just my thoughts  ;)
