Title: Paint starting to "bubble" on swing arm
Post by: Grahamm on 17 August 2012, 05:02:55 pm
I've noticed that there's some bubbling on the paint (presumably rust starting to form under it) on the back of the swingarm on my FZ6.

So (apart from getting a new/ different bike!) could anyone suggest a sensible course of action to deal with it?

is the swing arm not alloy on this model?  the best option and least time off the road is to get another swing arm and have it painted or powdercoated and check all bearings etc (if powder coating you need to remove them anyway)then its a case of swaping them over ,if you lay your bike up for winter you could remove yours and do same thing with that one
