Title: rear hugger
Post by: Gromit on 14 August 2012, 04:45:12 pm
Whilst doing the brakes today i whipped off the hugger to clean up the chain guard only to find 5 holes drilled through the top of the swinging arm an inch or so apart. From past experience i know huggers can warp and rub so i assume someone decided to spread the tension to pull it square again. Am i right in being concern though that this has seriously weakened the swinging arm?

i take it they were drilled to mount/adjust the hugger by the previous owner......not ideal to drill the swing arm but fairly small holes so doubt if it has weakend the arm.......... :\
