Hi
I imagine this subject has been on here before but i will ask it any way :)
My good ladies FZS 600 needs Carb to Head Rubbers replacing ( 51 Plate 9500 Miles )
Are there any pros's or con's between after market and genuine Yamaha rubbers other than price :eek ???????
Any advice will be greatfully received

replaced mine a while back now.the pattern parts i bought were as good as origanal, side by side it was hard to tell them apart, these rubbers are very thick, mine were cracked badly and were like it for years before i finally got round to changing them, but once off the bike i could see the cracks were not all the way through....by a long way...if you have the same problem and the cracks are not that bad i would`nt bover changing them.
i think i still have the old ones in the garage,i see if i can find them tommorow and post a piccy ;)

think one on out side is through as get bubbles when u put liquid over cracks :'( but have put silicone over them for time being

The new ones will likely crack as well, had you not wrote that there's bubbles coming out then i would say leave them but since you know there's a breach then fair enough, just don't panic when the new ones start looking like they've had someone attack them with a sharp hatchet

ok...sounds as if you need new ones.....i will see if i can find out where i bought mine and how much they were....pretty sure somewhere near £75...will let you know :)
