Does anybody know the wire colours on the side and headlight, ie what is live and negitive, im hooking a few things up. Thanks

Post by: tomlinscote on 30 July 2012, 06:29:27 pm: Looking at the manual it appears that black is negative and black/yellow or black/green is positive, however the diagram was really tiny and hard to read clearly. I would start here using a voltmeter they are very cheap from places like Maplin. Hopefully someone else will know more!

connect the clip to earth then test the wires for power dip and main.

earth=black
power=blue/red
headlight
earth=black
main beam=black/yellow
dip beam=black/green
from the wiring plug to the sidelight the wire colours change to
earth=green
power=brown

Post by: tomjimtom on 30 July 2012, 10:39:37 pm: Both wires are black coming from the back of the bulb, then go into a connector further down where they turn black/whatever (think it depends on the year) Just check with a multimeter (with the ignition on!)
