Hi,
Does anybody know the wire colours on the side and headlight, ie what is live and negitive, im hooking a few things up. Thanks

the live one is the one you go ouch !!!! when you put your tongue on it :rollin

Looking at the manual it appears that black is negative and black/yellow or black/green is positive, however the diagram was really tiny and hard to read clearly. I would start here using a voltmeter they are very cheap from places like Maplin. Hopefully someone else will know more!

connect the clip to earth then test the wires for power dip and main.

side light
earth=black
power=blue/red
headlight
earth=black
main beam=black/yellow
dip beam=black/green
from the wiring plug to the sidelight the wire colours change to
earth=green
power=brown

Both wires are black coming from the back of the bulb, then go into a connector further down where they turn black/whatever (think it depends on the year) Just check with a multimeter (with the ignition on!)
