Does anyone go to Bassetts Pole on a Tuesday evening (I think?) have heard that it's quite a big meeting place for bikers and wondered what your experiences / thoughts are on it. Also, any decent meeting places in the midlands / tamworth areas?

The Vic at Coalville.
New Inn at Needwood (Burton on Trent).
The Swan at Fradley.
Can recommend the Cafe at Fisherwick Lakes, Whittington.
There's also MFN at Shipley Gate.

I went to Bassets Pole a few months back. Too crowded for my liking. Lots of Police as I left too. Don't think I'll bother again.
If it's nice on Sunday I like to have my breakfast at the Food stop cafe on the A422 Bridgnorth. Nice ride out for me from Redditch. :)

There's a big bike meet on the A606 going out to Melton Mowbray I think it's six hills !! I'm sure someone will confirm this.

lol..I have lived in rugby for 30 yrs, never knew about that one !
mind you its on a bleak industrial estate, with little to go there for....and on a friday night ??...must be keen bikers IMO. !

Lots of blokes with small penises & lots of plod usually with the CCTV van when the weather is nice, I stay well clear

I've done bassets pole twice once last week when I went Paint Balling there, it's behind macy D and I've done the bike night once just to see what its all about and both are sh1t, I've done MFN a few times there always a variety of bikes and I've been to the vic for a burger and a browse but the vic is very small compared to others, six hills is ok, it's been a few years since I last did em tbh as I rarely get out in the week, the odd Sunday I might just go to Matlock if im passing thro for a bag of chips and a bit of people watching.

Hmmm from this i read that bassetts pole is a bit of a posers power ranger hang out. One off my list then. Might just go for a ride around the local areas tomorrow then. Seems a shame to miss the weather. Thanks for info and advice folks.

if you are out for a ride in the day I always pop into Sutton Motorcycles in Tamworth. Nice friendly shop with tables outside to enjoy a drink and a burger or bacon sarnie from the nice burger van.

oh and if you are going to Bassetts Pole tonight would recommend getting there about 6ish if you can and then leave about 8ish when the ones that attract Police attention start to arrive, with nice weather it starts to get too full arounf that time as well

Call in at Sutton's quite regular now, had most my gear from them, good bunch of blokes. Had a few cuppa's from the van too, mostly on a Sunday around midday for me. Off to Sutton's tomorrow afternoon to get wheels balanced around 3pm then hopefully over to Rugby bikers pit stop meet in the evening.

I have had 12 bikes in 10 years and apart from my first 125 I have got the other 11 from Sutton Motorcycles, top blokes. This is my latest, if you see me there say hello :D

Certainly will! I will be the one wobbling onto the carpark in the wrong gear coming to an abrupt stop with the indicator still going :)
