just took off the sprocket cover to check whether the sprocket nut is the correct one, and the gasket falls apart. i went on the wemoto site but they only do the complete gasket set. anyone know where to get one or is it a case of make your own? ta.

Get one from your Yamaha dealer, I did but Im not sure why as I dont really know what the gasket is for anyway. By the way, the genuine gasket comes with a protective backing which looks like it would do as a replacement as its the exact shape of the actual gasket so Ive kept mine thinking great, two for the exhorbitant price of one, but then Im tight anyway.

Just clean up the surfaces and bolt it back together, the gasket doesn't do anything useful.
You may find the clutch needs a slight adjustment as without the gasket the pushrod will be closer to the actuating mechanism on the sprocket cover.
