Well in a couple of weeks me and a couple of mates are heading off for a week across Europe. We've got about 75% of the trip sorted but are stuck for the final bit so....
On Thursday morning we'll be waking up in Baden-Baden (love that name) and need to be back in Calais by Friday night. We've looked at heading towards Luxembourg but some of the routes look uninspiring so am after any suggestions.
We don't want to be ploughing hundreds of miles a day, approx between 200 - 250 miles tops a day. Any ideas?

Baden Baden across Saarland is good via that route. Not too busy on those roads.
Northern Luxembourg is actually very nice, with a lot of decent roads. The Belguim Ardenne also, but the roads are a bit rougher. Bouillion to Montherme via the wiggly river valley road is excellent.
After Brands BSB in April last year I headed down from Calais, Cambria, Bouillion, Germany, then back via Prum, Clervaux, Vianden , but Prum and Clervaux may be too far north for you.

ps, the last part from Cambria to Calais is the most boring, just hack it up the motorway.

To be honest, that last hack up the motorway might be welcome after a week of riding twisties.....will probably be looking forward to heading home by that point :D

Actually....one more question.....will I need my own straps for the ferry or will there be a place for motorbikes and they'll have straps???
