Title: NOT a Question About Best Tyre, but CURRENT Good Tyre Deals (ie always relevant)
Post by: River Valley on 02 June 2012, 02:42:10 pm
Following my recent puncture on the autobahn atb 110mph, I've calmed down enough to source a replacement set. This question isn't about 'best tyres', but to ask if anyone can point me in the direction of any current good deals to be had? I'm not overly fussy about what I put on, so long as they fit and are ok to ride at decent all-round speeds on.
Thanks.

my mechanic says that maxxis are the ones to beat - pretty much all the performance and a lot less price. personally i wouldn't fit them, but you asked for good deals...

I got a pair of Dunlop Roadsmart II for £210, which replaced the Roadsmart I, i did over 4500 miles on them going around europe last year and plenty of UK riding including a Cadwell Park track day. I hope the Roadsmart II's are just as good.

I've got maxxis on mine and I'll second that.  The best kept secret around, they really do match other tyres in performance for 2/3 of the price.
