I nearly had some quite serious near misses, and I thought to myself 'If I am going to die, I should really have that on film . . . . . .might be funny'
So got meself a helmet cam. Anyway, I am still alive so in the meantime I thought I'd upload some amusing things I see on me journeys . . .

Good videos (stupid idiots, thought!)
What cam do you use?
-
Drift X170. Recording in 720p. Not HD (and annoyingly no room for an external mic, so no vlogging!!!) but, works well.
:-)
-
Thanks. I'm looking for one with an external mic, but they're not easy to get hold of, except at prices higher than I want to pay...
-
Some guy did this, if your a bit handy, then maybe give it a shot. My Drift was just £80

Can't believe you followed that taxi home.. "I was just a bit confused"...classic.
-
Yea, I was confused (as well as a little shocked :eek )
-
You really are nice and chilled :z aren't you with regards to the taxi.
-
Well, I am not screaming at him and being a dick . . . . .
-
Those are some good videos, see that sort of driving on a daily basis unfortunately :rolleyes
How does that cam attach to your lid and how long do you get out of a charge? Thinking of getting one but don't want to spend hundreds...
-
I bought a Drift x170 for about £80, as it isn't HD.
It attaches to my lid with a sticky bit that it comes with, however, I have also neatly used gorilla tape to add to the stickiness, as I didn't trust it. It has stayed on pretty well in all weathers and I have been over the ton and it has stayed on fine . . . . . .
I record in the highest quality possible (720) and it seems to use 1gb for every 30mins of recording and I use a 16gb SD card. The internal memory is shite, you WILL need an SD card.
With regard to batteries, it takes 2 AA's and it is supposed to record about 4 hours in the energy saving mode before replacing.
I put rechargeable ones in. Is a bit fiddly taking them in and out.
Annoyingly, no external mic, is quite big, attachments ain't that strong.
Good bits:- Is cheap as it's discontinued, not bad quality although not HD, pretty tough, water resist so it won't break in the rain (unless you drop it in a very deep puddle)
