Title: changing air filter - easy ?
Post by: Enceladus on 01 June 2012, 08:26:22 pm
planning on changing the oil, filter and putting in a mag drain plug this weekend, and that got me thinking (yes, i know that's dangerous !)
i would doubt that the air filter has been changed recently and could probably do with being replaced.
is it an easy thing to replace ?
don't mind a bit of work, but would prefer not to have to remove the tank ifi can help it.
thanks :)

It's not difficult................once you've removed the tank

Air filter is easy enough to replace, easier than the oil filter in my opinion... or at least that was the case with my adventures...

It's located underneath the fuel tank, just in front of the battery :)

Yep, if memory serves, undo one bolt, prop up the tank carefully on a piece of wood then do the necessary.
If you have a carb Fazer, I hope you have a K&N filter to liberate the midrange?
Good luck amigo,
fish.
