Title: Auto Chain Oilers
Post by: madog on 01 June 2012, 10:14:25 am
I've decided i'm sick of oiling chains, no matter how hard I try I make  a mess. Plus i've started doing much longer runs of late.

So, auto chain oilers, is there really any other choice than a Scottoiler,

Anyone using other systems and pleased with results

Not what you asked, but I use a vac type Scottoiler on every bike I own - the same one in fact - and it's brilliant.

what about this?

I had a scott oiler once on a ZX6R and it was a PITA, it pissed the oil all over the place and when I turned it down the chain went red, couldn't find a happy medium as I commuted during the week and thrashed it at the weekends.

My Fazer had a Scott Oiler fitted but I let it run out and never refillled it. It used to piss the oil all over the garage floor when I got in at night. This solid carbon stuff looks good but I don't know anyone who has used it. Any reviews out there?
