As im going to Germany nxt week i thought id treat myself to some tyres and so brought a set of these METZELER ROADTEC Z8 INTERACT at a good price, and just wondered if anyone has tried these at all.

I think these are the ones that have just been given as a top tyre by MCN, there's video review of sports touring tyres and they really rate the Z8 especially in the wet. Dunno about Fazer suitability though? Don't see why not? Keep us informed here and have a good trip to Germany! http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/videos/2012/May/may1712-video-sports-touring-tyres-tested/ (http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/videos/2012/May/may1712-video-sports-touring-tyres-tested/)

Yes they are the ones, I just hope there's no trade off from being good in the wet to not being as good in the dry !

Hi dave
I have read good report on them too. Reckon they will be very good.Which bike you taking to germany then ??

Jon, fazer I had the tyres fitted yesterday the tw4t at Derby tyres scratched my rear wheel fecking cowboy honest I've touched it up for now I'll never go there again.
I fitted some new pads all round it did'nt need em I just thought I'd upgrade to brembo sc on the rears and brembo racing on the fronts.
So I went out to scrub tyres in and I found the bike is not as quick to turn in as per fitted with pilot powers you need more imput with these tyres so I'll await and see what there like on the trip.

I generally use Grippers Dave @ Gresley common http://www.grippersmotorcycles.co.uk/ (http://www.grippersmotorcycles.co.uk/) Prices are usually reasonable.
