Hi all just took a few photos of my touring set up for this years scotland trip, fortwilliam, ullapool, applecross, plockton & glencoe.

That looks really nice buddy .. a good set of photo's of a well prepared bike 8) .
Why stop at Scotland .. as grand as it is .. you could keep going right around the world on that :b
Just being nosey ..
Do you carry many spares and tools? It's often difficult to decide what to take and what not to bother about. On the other hand .. some guys go around Europe with nothing more than a Cradit Card and a Mobile Phone.
Where will your trip start from? How long are you going for? Will you be on your own?

What screen seat and bars have you got on it?
Knowing a little about Scotland I can't see your lovely lookig bike looking like that after a few miles north of the border though :(

Nice setup. One of the main things i miss having moved from the multistrada is the hand gaurds. Have been looking at ktm ones so may give them a go. When are you coming up to scotland?

i've just sorted mine out for the spanish trip (wingrack, givi 347 rack, 2 x e360, 1 x yamaha 47l box)
was tempted to buy flymo's rack until i saw how far back it put the panniers.
1st rule of touring, keep the weight low and central.
enjoy your trip tho' and keep her topped up with fuel ;)

Hi i do like you seat/cover and it looks a clean bike.
Im off to Bad Herrenald in Germany in less than 2 weeks and i just leave everything to last min not wise really and i need some new tires as well, however over the years ive realised how little you need or how much you take and dont need ..

Hi guys, ill reply to you all in one go, spares, i take spare brake & clutch lever, a roll of gaffer tape & some cable ties. The bars are standard but with 30mm risers, just easyer with a tank bag on, a riffle 20inch screen & hand guards of a v-strom. Top box is a 55l krauser, this is the second fazer its been on with no problems. I rack the rear suspension spring up 6 clickes, nether botherd with tyre pressures. iam 15 st & our lass is 10st, i think we have under half st in the box & i try to have a bit of weight in the tank bag. The hand guards were fantastic last year, we did j,o,g if your thing of putting them on for a trip do so.

Its a bagster seat, i love it but our lass says the stock seat is better, more comfortable.

:eek I'm amazed those Standard Spaghetti issue bars don't bend with all that weight :'(
You really should consider some nice Renthal 758s .. in my opinion .. and that of hundreds of other Fazer Riders .. ask a few.

the 30mm risers, i had no problems with them, its alot more upright & spot on when the tank bags on.

Once youve got that kit on the bike its like the adventure has already begun! I always get a great feeling putting the bags on and the waterproof map. Cable ties & gaffer tape-never leave home without them. I also carry a few spare fuses & a couple of bulbs.Enjoy :)
