Title: Problem?
Post by: subby on 16 May 2012, 10:04:10 pm
Hi all, have an issue ive just discovered with my 02.. basically when you press the passing light all the lights on the clocks flash as if you had just turned the ignition on?. It only seems to do it the first time you flash the lights then works as it should. Bike doesnt cut out or anything.
Anyone else came across this?

thanks, Alex.

Check your battery connections, clean all your earth tags and plugs. (wd 40 is good) If it still does it after all that cleaning it could be the first signs of your battery dying. My battery lasted a year after that problem then the winter killed it completely. but the cleaning helped lots.

Fazer Jake does your tacho drop to 0 when yours does it? as said mine does but the bike isnt cutting out.. as bikemad suggested i will check the connections and if i can check the battery voltage. Bike always starts first turnover so its hard to hear if its turning over slower.

Thanks,
Alex
