Title: Well Lads ex-up question
Post by: stevefzs1 on 14 May 2012, 03:11:01 pm
I have a Gen 1 Fazer 1000 42,000 miles has an Ivans tuning Kit and generally very smooth but it bogs down completely after you get to 7,000 rpm in every gear and it staggers up the rest of the rev clock i had a look at the ex-up valve at weekend one felt tight a little give each way the top wire and the bottom wire was a lot looser could that be the issue????????/

Mine's Ivanated (full) and if I put the baffle in my exhaust it creates a 'bog down' point at about 5000rpm, so if you've got full ivans kit and still have stock exhaust or baffled aftermarket, that could be it..

Or it could be the exup  :lol

Service the exup but also check asap under the seat and make sure nothing is blocking the air box.
That's classic symptoms for a bag or something getting pulled in at high revs.
