Can you post a link to one of the videos you have seen that shows a Gen2 rotor rotating as revs increase.
Edit: I think that you are confusing the EXUP valve in the exhaust headers of the GEN1 with the exhaust valve fitted to the OEM end can of the GEN2. The valve in the GEN2 is only to reduce exhaust noise within a certain rev range which is why the default setting is open. The valve only closes ~4k to reduce noise and opens again after 5k, in your other thread I posted a video showing this to be the case. The fact that the valve in the GEN2 is in the OEM end can and that no aftermarket end cans for the bike use an exhaust valve would kind of prove that the valve has nothing to do with performance. I'd suggest that if you're not happy with the way the bike performs with the aftermarket end can you should take it to be properly remapped to sort out any fuelling issues. Alternatively refit the stock end can and connect it the servo and you should have a fully functional bike as Yamaha intended barring any other mods that were made before you bought it.

"Thanks PieEater", your input is appreciated. video link: youtube.com/watch?v=G2yvGiqrfS8 - I figured out that there's a test mode in the Diagnostics menu "Code 53" and can confirm the EXUP valve performs as in the video link. All's well then, at least it's turning there, but not when I rev her up? lol. ... maybe as you said, the valve is for "noise reasons", perhaps when in a particular gear / rev range under load? Thanks again. ps: On another note, The Bike is simply awesome :D .. and the lack of torque under 4k seems to be normal then looking at reviews! kind regards, Scotty

Hi Scotty.
Gen2 exhaust valve isn't a Powervalve like the Gen1, Gen2 valve is just a noise gate flapper unit for it to pass Decibel tests.
It'll likely be in full operation under normal riding conditions, reason you probly don't see it move blipping the throttle is ECU isn't seeing a road speed signal.
Like others have pointed out, bike will benefit from an aftermarket can, Bin the flapper rubbish, just remove the cables & leave motor connected, ECU won't have a Scooby Doo you've binned the flapper & fitted a better can
