Title: Fender extender.
Post by: Andy FZS on 24 April 2012, 06:39:28 pm
Hi, I'm thinking of getting a fender extender to stop all the water (If I miss judge the weather) stones and debris etc from being thown at my engine rad etc. My question is who has on,e do they work, are some better than others, should any be avoided. I just thought I'd ask before I buy one, I've seen them for under £20 but if a couple of quid more is money well spent then so be it. But I'm a Yorkshireman and don't want to waste money.
Thanks
Andy

I got a brand new Pyramid one for the FZ6 off evilbay for £15 delivered, seems to work pretty well. Keep watching and you will get a bargain. :rollin

An excellent idea! Saves most of the front of the engine from stones and other debris thrown up by the front wheel.

if it's identical fit to the 1000 I have one you can have for the cost of postage. You'll need some sticky foam pads for it tho.

Just done a bit of surfing and it looks as if the 1000 and 600 are not the same. But thanks for your kind offer.

Had one on my last three bikes and it would be the first thing I would add, if not fitted to any future bike.
If you're a fair weather, weekend blaster, the benefits are reduced but if you're an all year round kind of guy, I reckon it's essential.
