I don't know if this has been discussed on here recently, but the UK Fazer owners are invited to the International meet at a small hotel about 10km from the Nurburgring in Germany from 26-29th July 2012.
I have been 2 or 3 times over the last 10 years and always had a good time - ususally in the company of Locksmith, GoldFazer, Alan Sherman and a number of others.
The meet is organised by the German Fazer Club and our contact is Sascha (InTheY2k on this forum).
Does anyone fancy going this year? I'm up for it but don't fancy being the only Brit as my foreign language skills are pretty rudimentary (and shamed by the perfect English of many of the continental riders!)

Yehehhhs... it's going to take place as Mark mentioned...
We want to see our british brothers aplenty. So come all! :-D OK, I guess space and rooms on location are limited. But there are more pensions and B&B in the closer vicinity.
If you're considering joining us check with Chris (the owner) at http://www.hotel-forsthaus.com (http://www.hotel-forsthaus.com) for availability of rooms (explicitly mentioning the meet "Fazertreffen", because he will offer a special rate including dinner). In case he's booked out, he can arrange for other acommodations in the area.
It would be cool if you joined us (instead of only doing your own thing and speeding round the Nordschleife all day). We're having nice ride-outs and of course lots of fun over beers and barbecues in the evenings.

I'd be interested in popping over. However ....... not sure if I count! Though English, with a first gen fazer thou, I actually live in ... erm .... the Mosel Valley, 40kms from the Ring, at Zeltingen Rachtig, near Bernkastel.
We run a bikers B&B/self catering place too, for 18 euros per night should anyone prefer to stay with Brits (www.river-valley-guest-house.co.uk (http://www.river-valley-guest-house.co.uk) ) or if numbers increase to the extent that additional accommodation is needed.

Myself and Neily are thinking about it atm, we had planned a trip over this summer so could make this it.
Just needs us both to actually stop working enough to meet up and sort out our plans.

btw.... as every year, I have designed (with my amateurish skills :rolleyes ) a t-shirt logo for this year's meet.

In case anybody cares to have one, and can wait to pick it up on location, I suggest you order it and have it sent to the hotel to save shipping costs.
If you need help with the process (the site is available in German only, but it's quite self-explanatory) do not hesitate to ask me and I will be glad to assist and answer any questions.
The price might appear a bit steep, but rest assured that I do not earn a single penny with it. The commission for me is zero! The reason for the price is a charge of 2 EUR per colour. And as the print is blue/white/red, that makes 6 EUR for the print alone.

Its a great meet - you can have a go on the ring but also the area around is great for riding. Not too far away from the UK too. Not for me this year though as I'll have a little baby to look after.

Anyone definitely going? It is time to book accommodation, ferry etc if you are. As I said in my first post, I would like to go but don't fancy it as Billy Nomates!

Cant make this one as I've booked most of my holidays for this year already during the winter. I really like that part of Germany, so maybe next year.
That weekend is the 1st week of the Olympics so ferries/tunnel maybe busier than normal if anyones considering a late one.

This year the meet was not so much international as it used to be :-(
Plan ahead! Our rooms have already been booked for next year's 10th annual meet! As every year: last weekend in July. Mark your calendars.
