Title: Width of handlebars / front indicators
Post by: pezos on 24 May 2020, 10:45:37 am
Hi all,

I wondered if someone with a fzs600 might be able to put a tape measure across the front indicator and handlebars for me. I am looking for a new bike and need one that will squeeze through my gate.

Thanks alot in advance

Not in a position to measure right now but I used to have the same issue, on paper it was too wide but still went in at an angle and then sort of lean a little left and then right and it went in but also keep an eye on the end can. Mirrors are  wider than everything and need folding in too.

It's not the handlebars or indicators you need worry about, as you can walk the bars through and fold the mirrors in.  It's the width of the firing and weather it's a straight run once past the gate, or whether the gate actually opens fully and back past the gate post.

I used to push mine in and out of my side gate, which was your standard gate, with a straight run and the gate fully opened behind the post.

Thanks for the replies, should have said my fzs 600 went though by the skin of its teeth, and it was the indicators that I had to watch out for which is why I'm curious about the width. Most bikes seem to be wider than the fazer for some reason!
