Title: Speedo Cable shorting - revised!
Post by: pezos on 22 March 2020, 04:45:28 pm

Hello,

So looks like my speedo cable has been routed incorrectly and I found it being sliced in half by one of the front discs. Does anyone know it the cable is its own part that I can replace or does it belong to the (expensive) sensor assembly?

2002 FZS600

Many thanks....

Sensor is all one piece including the cable. Should be a few on ebay

Can you not cut and splice it at the break?

Been meaning to replace my temporary insulating tape repair with a permanent heat shrink solution but the tape lasted about 10 years now

Hi all

Sorry for the delay... been struggling to log in (goggle chrome - using bing now)!

Thanks for the replies, does anyone happen to know how many wires are inside the speedo cable if I do need to solder them? Ideally an aftermarket replacement if anyone know where I might find one?

Thanks again, much appreciated.
