I need to lol. as I get older I depend more and more on decent tools to offset the onset of age. as my wealthy mate  kelv says whenever he gives me a house to do up, 'your fucking useless now your old. but you have got a van full of tools...'

The weather is truely depressing.  Saturday will be yet another stormy day around here.Maybe I'll get asked to work Saturday, might as well if I am.It's bloody freezing in my garage, can't quite muster the enthusiasm.........
The third weekend in January was the only decent weekend we've had this year so far, if a little cold;

Yeh, I've been stuck in the car for the last 2 weeks.
Glad I got a new one, just hope it's as good in the snow as the Santa Fe.

 We just don’t get proper winters anymore.  I remember as a kid, every winter we would be sledging on the hills behind the town.  I don’t think todays kids know what sledging is.

Winter seems to often be coming later in the season.  And yeah some snow would be nice, driving my Yeti in the snow can be good fun, I just gotta remember whilst it keeps finding loads of grip on the throttle, it’s just as crap as everything else at trying to stop.

Had really good winter tyres on the Santa Fe. Bought a spare set of wheels and put the same tyres and put on them for the new Q3 so going they will behave the same.
Know what you mean about about the snow but even if kids knew about sledding they would probably do it on the Wii anyway.

It may have something to do with insurance as before it was just very windy and insurance company's wordings state it has to be a storm and would argue the toss so not to pay out, so now by naming it is recognised as an official storm. Something like that   :book

Don't know how they got away with that wind strength is measured on the Beaufort Scales.    8 gale39-46mph   9. strong gale. 47-54mph. 10 storm 55-63mph.  11 violent storm 64-73.  12 hurricane 73+mph. the wind speed is measured 10mtrs above ground level. So don't know how they managed to riggle their way out of paying

I just know that my insurance for Sharp Hall says any claim for wind damage can only be if it was a named storm.
