Is there an easy way of removing the rear indicators?
Unbolting is easy but then the electrics disappear up a tube in the tail and don't seem to appear behind the toolkit area.
-
Unfortunately you need to take the tail piece off to get to the connectors but it's easy enough to do (10 mins)
-
Does that involve removing both side panels?

Yeah, it's really not a long job, both the side panels and the centre piece come off as one and slide off from the rear. Have you got a Hayne manual?
-
I have but to be fair I much prefer the expertise of you guys.
Cheers

Follow me to work, a BMW will have it off in no time.
-
Just remove the rear light
-
Are the front the same as rears apart from the stem length. Are the fittings the same?
There's a set on eBay. They're advertised as rears but look too short to me. If they fit the same I might get them as it might look slightly better with shorter arms.
-
No unfortunately the fittings are different.
-
Thanks, I'll give this seller a wide berth then as I can tell from the photos they are front ones and despite me asking for clarification they've insisted they are rears.
-
The wires poke up some tubes and are connected right at the back near the tail light, just do what vinnyb said and take off the tailsection its 4 hex bolts if memory serves.
I have some genuine rear ones (and they are genuine rears) which i took off when fitting some bobby dazzler led ones.
I can send you pics of course, i live in lithuania postage shouldnt be that much

If they are in near perfect condition, or at least the left one is then I'll have them.
Send me a pm with your details and cost and I'll send the money across.

Now here's a crisis.
I drive a BMW
I ride a motorbike
I'm an avid cyclist
I'm a police officer
That must make me the most conscientious motorist around despite me driving the wrong car.
(I've only had it a month)

A replica can be bought here as a perfect secondhand one might be hard to find if all fails,
