Title: Will later fzs 2002---2004 engine fit??

Wondering if later engine will fit my bike (99 plate) am sure i read on here somewhere that it would maybe need to change couple of plugends any ideas ??am not upto complete stipdown to repair gearbox thanks in advance--

Yes, it will fit but a couple of the connectors may need to be changed/adapted. Cannot recall which ones though.

Get the Foxeye regulator/rectifier to replace your own and then swap the connector on it and the connector to the stator from you own and everything will be a straight swap.
The charging system on the Foxeye was much improved over the Boxeye and the  Stator, Rotor and Regulator/rectifier were changed.

2004 is a completely different engine to 2002 though....

Yes and no as many 02-03 FZS600s outside the UK were registered in 2004
