Can anybody suggest a way to remove the sticky tape that holds the wheel balance weights on?
-
WD40 and a sharpened plastic scraper always works for me
-
Clutch and brake cleaner.
-
petrol and a soft cloth.
-
Acetone.....AKA.....Nail varnish remover.
-
Only thing works is sticky stuff remover or a blowtorch
-
I started at the top of the list of suggestions with WD40 and the edge of my credit card. It worked a treat. Thanks for all of your suggestions.

My missus reckons the credit card will solve any problem as well ;)
-
What about glue for refixing used weights.
-
Double sided tape does the trick to restick used weights if you have no new ones. You will likely need to reshape them though as they bend a bit when getting them off.

Kind of thinking bring back make do and mend society starting with wheel weights ;)
-
Double sided tape or the double sided foam stuff works fine
-
brake cleaner and a naked thumb ;)
