Title: Breather?
Post by: deeteefifty on 26 August 2018, 07:42:48 pm
Hello, I removed the carburettors to free off a seized tick over adjuster and on strip down noticed the item marked with a green arrow, should connect somewhere or does it vents to atmosphere?

It vents to the atmosphere..(http://foc-u.co.uk/Smileys/efocicon/smile.gif)

As Bandit says, it doesn’t attach to anything else.
It looks twisted out of position in your photo though, it normally faces backwards: which might give that wiring it’s pressing against a bit more room.

Ta fazerider. I've a bit re routing to do, the clutch cable has a sharp bend on its way from the frame top tube then behind the side cover, but maybe there's no choice with that one.

If you think a previous owner may have messed things up there’s a diagram for cable routing in the manual (available in the downloads section).

Thanks, found it and things aren't too far off. The tight bend in the clutch cable from frame top tube to casing looked suspicious but surprisingly this matched with the diagram🤔
