Title: Front fork adjusters
Post by: dolau on 03 April 2012, 01:20:23 pm
Had a thought this morning while eating my Cornflakes.
My old FZS6 has adjustable front forks and my new(er) FZ6S does not
While I am quite happy with the suspension of the FZ6, I was wondering whether the fork tops from an FZS6 would fit on the top of the FZ6S forks... I have sonfused myself now with all these FZ's :o

Assuming you mean your old FZS600 (pre-2003 model) had adjustable forks.
The FZ6 (2004 onwards) model has different forks on them (43mm diameter as opposed to the 41mm on the older FZS model).
As far as I am aware these are no interchangable.

But of course the preload caps off various bikes with 43mm forks (2001-2005 Fazer 1000, 1999-2004 R6, XJR 1300) probably would be a straight fit.

If they worked I'm sure we would have heard of it but not come across this "mod" previously.
