Hi everyone
Being as i could'nt make the fazer meet last year at the brum bike shed.
I would like to invite any fazer rider to my fishery .
I run fisherwick lakes at whittington nr Lichfield in staffordshire. fisheries.co.uk/fisherwick
We offer the full angling experience and any non anglers or bikers are more than welcome.
I have a fishing lodge fully equipped overlooking our specimen carp lake, its very scenic and tranquill setting. the lodge has a cafe and ladies and gents toilets, and also a shop selling choc bars, cold pop etc.
there is a patio area at the back with ample bike parking and hard standing outside
The lakes 11 in total cover some 32 acres, so lots to see if you fancy a stroll round .
I can offer free tuition for visitors fancying a go at fly fishing while your there, and a substantial discount to foccers using our cafe.
im a qualified cook with a five star rating by environmental health .
Anyone wishing to come let me know i love to see bikes and this would make me happy as i dont get much time to ride myself.
Im not trying to plug myself or our fishery on here . just want to see you.
We are only 20 mins from Brum and close to the famous basset pole bike meet.
Cheers all
Peter Jackson Jackojet :D

the reason for using brum is a tribute to stixx- one of the 12 "originals" fazer owners ( like myself and purplebear), who was tragically killed not long after setting the fazer 1000 group up.Not an issue with meeting up anywhere in the world, but the annual bike shed meet is a tribute run, not just a run .

Cheers Pitt
I did,nt know that !
So sorry mate didnt mean to intrude !
any Fazer onwer 600 or thou is more than welcome to come and use our facilities on other times than the annual brum bike shed meet
give me a shout on jackson.69@tiscali.co.uk
Many thanks
cheers all

Hi jacko
It wasnt meant in any way as a rebuke. Its just explaining how the brum bike shed meet started, and its significance for ( amazingly! ) the small core of guys who were at that first meet ( R1FSr, Norm, PB and myself, plus a few others who now seem to have dropped away) who still own and follow the fazer on its forums. Its not meant to exclude any other meets either...we dont get enough these days...maybe time to set up another regular meet ??To complement the bike shed rather than replace it.The annual meet was also a great opportunity to put faces to forum names, see each others bikes etc...its actually remarkable how its still going ten years on !
cheers

No worries Pitt
yeah its nice to put names to faces etc and great how it still going , for me though i doubt i can make the meet this year again as my job is Sat and Sun peak times see. Thats is why i thought maybe fazer riders might like to pop in to meet me etc at our venue at the fishery.
any day is fine
cheers jacko :)

I couldnt make it in the end either , work has been very manic, and with early easter , end of tax year figures to do, plus still not got bike back together ...shame cos I like to go and c everyone. Maybe we should try to do something in the summer. ??
-
Why not just make a date for a Fazer 600/1000 meet say June/July time hopefully a bit warmer and more folks my make the effort, You could put on a BBQ for a small fee say at cost or a slight profit to go towards the fishery up keep?
I didn't do the bike shed due to my lad giving me his cold and wanting to shake it off before I go Wales for next week I will certainly pop down and say hello at some stage only being just up the road.

:)
Thanks Pitt and Karlo
Im actually in the process of building a BBQ down there at the moment, so a nice summer day would be a nice idea.
The marsh marigolds are out and blossom on my cherry trees , plus the weeping willows are in leaf .
Its a beautiful time of year to be there, the great crested grebes have young already, the swans are beating the greylags up over nesting rights .
I will try and post some pics soon and watch this space for when i have that BBQ :)

What a cracking place you have Peter, fantastic looking out over the lake and a decent cuppa too.

Thanks Karlo
hoping to have a BBQ soon, waiting for the stainless steel , and some time to finish the bricklaying !
keep you posted , when it is , just need summer to arrive.:)
