Title: Newbie in Market Harborough
Post by: winnsworld on 15 November 2017, 04:14:23 pm
Hi all

Just picked up a 2001 FZS1000 for my daily, all weather rider.

I've had an FZ1 in the past but never got on with seat, etc.

I've also got a 2013 FJR for touring, days out, etc. with the missus and a 2002 ZX9-R Ninja for being a boy racer from time to time...

One week into riding it and loving every minute. It's been jetted and fitted with K&N's with a Viper can (minus the baffle) :)

Welcome to foc-u  :) . Hopefully the FJR and ZX will get used a lot less in the future. I use our Fazer 1000 a hell of a lot more than my Aprilia RSV or FJ1200 - it's just as much fun and comfortable as either of those (although my real love is the FJ).

LOL I used ti have a FZ1 too. Bloody seat was uncomfortable... I had custom ones made but still didn't help! Changed the bars to upright Rhentals but still no better. I don't know what it was. Just ergonomics I guess.

The earlier FZS1000 is sooooooo much more confortable.

PS - I ride out now and again with the Welland Valley Riders (not a club officially but we arrange rideouts, etc.) look them up on FB or pop into see Nathan at Spender's Motorcycles.

Hope to see you about.
