Hey folks, for those of you who switched out their fork springs, did anyone get a .95kg weight? and how does it feel?
I'm 100 kg, 6ft2. The reason I ask the question is the Dublin suspension specialists suggested I go for a .90kg spring to compensate for Irish and UK roads compared to the states or Europe. If those who swapped out to a .95k spring set up, did it feel to harsh? or just right for their weight.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I fitted Ohlins 8.5 N/mm linear springs, I weigh around 13.5 stones (86 Kilos).
Really pleased with them they have been in the FZS 600 for a year.
8.5 N/mm equates to 0.866758781 kg, so they are reasonably close to .90 kg.
My guess would be you could go a little heavier, maybe 9 N/mm would be better, if you can find them, especially if you carry a pillion often and or luggage.
9 N/mm equates to 0.917744592 kg.
Let us know what you decide and how you get on.

Changing the oil from 10w to 15w makes a surprisingly good difference to handling as well.

I fitted Hyperpro progressive to mine because of two up touring, very good all round. The fact you can adjust the preload helps immensely
