I recently bought a FZ1-N on a 2012 plate, but the dealer said its a 2011 model. How can I tell for sure what year it was made? Someone mentioned its the 10th digit on the V.I.N number with 'A' being 2011, but the 10th digit on my V.I.N number is number '0' :rolleyes

there is bound to be other ways but the easy way to be 100% sure is ring or email yamaha uk (not a dealer but yamaha themself) i have found them to be helpfull in the past with getting information from the frame number.
