Title: Removal/Replacement side/kick stand switch
Post by: slinky2000 on 22 May 2017, 11:03:45 am
Can someone tell me how to remove the side/kick stand switch?

I can get the outter screw off but I cannot get to the inner screw.  It looks like the sump or downpipes are in the way.

Am I missing something? The Haynes manual doesn't mention there to be any issues, it just says 'remove the two screws'

If the job is such a pig like this one usually the Haynes Book doesnt cover it. But as usual the Fazer Forum has a way!
PS So far I just keep mine free of grease & road crud & spray liberally with GT85. Coincidentally my clutch switch failed yesterday(part of the safety interlock) & the part is £38 from Yamaha! :eek

I have got a sidestand switch if it helps you out.

Thanks but I have a switch, it wasn't until I went to replace it I realised it wasn't as easy as haynes suggested.
