So after travelling back from Inverness on the back of a truck, courtesy of the RAC, I'm now looking for a solution to a pierced radiator.
Any useful recommendations for replacements or repairs before I delve into the eBay minefield ?
Oh and in a fruitless attempt to stop coolant pissing out, I stuck a bottle of Radweld in it, I'm guessing best to flush this out before installing replacement rad
Cheers

Flush it out anyway even if you buy a new / used or rebuilt radiator, just to make sure there is no debris of any sort in your system.
Some people have bought rads from China and are happy with them.
Or see if a local car radiator firm can repair or rebuild it.

If you do a search for a company called Aaron Radiators, they'll be able to repair it and have quite a fqst turnaround. They're in S.London. I'm out of the country at present, otherwise could have given you all their details.

Cheers Guys, I've found a place a bit closer to home in Preston, they've quoted me £40 +VAT so quite a bit cheaper than the e-bay 2nd hand or Chinky alternatives:

They seem to do all manner of stuff so I'll let you know how they get on with this.

Well now the rad's being fixed I guess I'd better look at giving it a bit of additional protection :rolleyes - Any advice out there for the best guard to go for, R&G, Beowulf ?
I assume that the standard side covers work with either, just bin the original louvered plastic front piece and bolt on the new one
Cheers

To be honest any metal one will do. I bought mine from a company in Germany but I can't find their details anymore.
I did spot this one on fleabay which is a bargain for the price, if you like the look
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272591024465 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272591024465)

It would be best to go with whatever make gives the most coverage I would have thought. Half the SP one is missing where the lettering is cut out. :lol

That's a fair point haha

Put something like this ebay number 401093628312 behind the plastic louvre, reasonably cheap and virtually unnoticeable, keeps the factory look.

Just the job - mesh and a pair of snips ordered, thanks for your input guys :)
